What is a hot runner heater? In short, the hot runner heater is a heating component installed in the injection mold. Its main task is to ensure that the plastic remains molten at the runner and gate through heating, so that it can be injected smoothly into the cavity of the mold. This technology not only significantly improves production efficiency, but also significantly reduces the waste of plastic raw materials.

So, how does a hot runner heater work? Its basic principle involves the phenomenon of electromagnetic induction. When thicker metal is in an alternating magnetic field, an electric current is generated inside the metal. This electric current forms a spiral flow path, which in turn generates heat and causes the metal to heat up rapidly. In hot runner systems, heating elements usually take the form of electric heating tubes, heating rods, heating rings, etc. They are cleverly designed and installed in the runner and manifold of the mold to achieve heating and constant temperature through a precise temperature control system.

When it comes to the types of hot runner heaters, there are many types.
